Rome is the capital of fashion, next to Milan, New York and Paris. Almost every high fashion brand and fashion chain have at least one exclusive store in downtown Rome. Italian fashion brands compete against each other to have the best image. For example, Italian fashion brands put money into the restoration of the Colosseum and Fontana di Trevi.
Just as there are mostly clothes stores in certain areas of the city, there are others full of antique shops. One of the most beautiful Roman streets full of antique shops, cafeterias, gelaterias and trattorias is Via dei Coronari, a Renaissance street between Piazza Navona and Ponte Sant’Angelo.
On one of the principal street, Via del Corso you can find the most popular fashion stores and brands. Via del Corso goes from Piazza Venezia all the way to Piazza del Popolo for 1.7 km or 1 mi.
